The majority of strokes could be prevented, according to new guidelines aimed at helping people and their doctors do just that.
The guidelines for stroke prevention highlight three main strategies:
(1) making healthier lifestyle decisions like stopping smoking, following a nutritious diet, exercising consistently, and reducing alcohol intake.
(2) controlling underlying health issues such as hypertension, diabetes, and cholesterol levels, and
(3) participating in routine medical checkups and screenings to identify risk factors promptly.
Collectively, these strategies seek to decrease the frequency of strokes and enhance overall health in the long run.
